Incident Command

The purpose of the Incident Command Team is to respond to critical incidents that require action by emergency personnel to prevent or minimize the loss of life as well as damage to property or natural resources. The Team is activated during any public safety emergency activity or major incident where the Department determines that activation of the Incident Command System would be beneficial in maintaining control of a situation. Our command staff and deputies are National Incident Management System (NIMS) certified.

The Incident Command Team’s main function is to provide support to the Command Staff of the Sheriff’s Office and other agencies during a critical incident or major event.
